Policies
Scheduling:
I see classes on a completely flex schedule. Teachers sign up for lessons with me as they need them for their classes. So far this year, we're already worked on iMovie, different apps for the iPad, and lessons in the Common Sense Portal.
Some teachers choose to schedule a set check-out time each week so their students know when they need to bring their books back each week. Other teachers send their students whenever they need a new book.
Student Check Out:
The Media Center is open from 7:10-2:10 each day. Students are allowed to come to the media center each morning when they arrive to school. At 7:35, students are asked to return to their class so they may view the Morning Broadcast. Students are allowed to come with their whole class or as an individual until 2:15, when the first dismissal bell rings.
Circulation Policy:
Pre-K-1st Grade: One book allowed for 2 weeks.
2nd-5th Grade: Two books allowed for 2 weeks.
With their teacher’s permission for a project, students in grades 3-5 may check out an additional book.
In addition to traditional books, the students have an opportunity to check out ebooks. See our Electronic Sources page!
Lost/Damaged Books:
Books that are lost or damaged must be paid for before the student can check out a new book. Final records are held at the end of the year until all fines are paid. If you have any problems regarding a fee, please come speak to me, Mrs. Fowler.
