Our Tech Toolbox schedule has been pushed back a little because of our snow days. This week, I have the students starting their iMovie projects. They are going to make a book trailer using iMovie on our ipads. They are very excited about the project! When they're finished, we're going to post the movies and create QR codes for them. We will then attach the QR code to the books, and students will be able to preview the book before they check it out!
Leigh Martin, the METI at Medlock Bridge Elementary, inspired me to start Tech Toolbox with our students. Each day a different grade level sends 2 students from each class to learn a new technology application. So far, our students have learned about MackinVIA, Destiny Quest, and this week, we added in the iPad app Puppet Pals. Check out some of our students learning how to use this great storytelling tool! Next week we will focus on ComicLife lite.
My "A" week second graders have been working hard at rehearsing their parts for our Reader's Theater. Students without roles in our production have been working on props and the sets. The next time the students come in, they'll perform for their peers.
